Quote § 4.1: associations, organisations and societies as well as other legal entities under private or public law, such as universities, scientific institutes, companies, insofar as they promote the objectives of the society in accordance with their purpose.
Based on the number of employees and the financial capacity, annual membership fees for Extraordinary Supporting Members are

Medium (10 – 50 employees) from €2,500
Large (51 – 250 employees) from €4,000
Big (more than 250 employees) from €5,000
These annual membership fees are used exclusively to support the non-profit purposes of the association, as outlined in the statutes. Additionally, voluntary donations are highly appreciated.
Besides their right to vote in the general assembly (single vote) like ordinary members, extraordinary supporting member of the association may also benefit from
being acknowledged on the GloBIAS website as a supporting member,
engage with the BioImage Analysis community through thematic focus groups, contribute to the development of the field by participating in dialogue and collaborative initiatives, such as webinars
nominate one representative to take part in the GloBIAS Scientific Advisory Committee,
receive timely updates about activities and events via the GloBIAS member newsletter,
advertise open positions/jobs for BioImage Analysts on the GloBIAS website and in the newsletter,
benefit as a member from preferential participation conditions for events or workshops, as far as compatible with the legal framework for non-profit associations,
become more visible among, and be part of, the friendly community of scientists working in BioImage Analysis.
These services and benefits may be subject to change based on decisions by the elected board of the association (application for Austrian charity tax status projected for 2026). Extraordinary supporting members will be notified of any proposed changes by the board.
