Please note that the event is at ISAS Campus. The institute has two separate locations in Dortmund. Please make sure to arrive at Otto-Hahn-Str. 6b, which is ISAS’s site on the campus of TU Dortmund University.

Getting to ISAS by car

The campus of TU Dortmund University is near the freeway junction Dortmund West, where the A 45 (Frankfurt-Dortmund) crosses the Ruhr expressway B 1 / A 40. There is a large parking lot right across from ISAS Campus. Parking is free of charge.

Getting to ISAS with public transport

ISAS Campus is located on the campus of TU Dortmund University. The university has its own train station. From Dortmund main station, the train S1 runs every 20-30 minutes to “Dortmund Universität”. The campus train station is about a 10-minute walk away from ISAS Campus. You can also take the bus (445, 462, E445, E462) from the university’s train station to the bus stop “Meitnerweg” opposite ISAS Campus.

Arriving in Dortmund - public transport

From Dortmund city

1) Take the S-Bahn S1 at Dortmund main station from platform 7 (direction: Solingen Hbf) to the station “Dortmund Universität" (3 stops). There you can take the bus lines 445 (direction: Brünninghausen/Technologiepark) or 462 (direction: Huckarde) to "Meitnerweg" (one stop). You are now on Otto-Hahn-Straße; the ISAS building lies about 100 meters behind you.

2) Take the subway U42 (direction: Hombruch) at the stations "Reinoldikirche" or "Stadtgarten". Get off at "An der Palmweide". There you can take the bus lines 445 (direction: Brünninghausen/Technologiepark) or 462 (direction: Huckarde) to "Meitnerweg" (6 stops). You are now on Otto-Hahn-Straße; the ISAS building lies about 100 meters behind you.

From Düsseldorf airport

3) Take the S-Bahn S1 (platform 5, direction: Dortmund Hbf) to the station "Dortmund Universität". There you can take the bus lines 445 (direction: Brünninghausen/Technologiepark) or 462 (direction: Huckarde) to "Meitnerweg" (one stop). You are now on Otto-Hahn-Straße; the ISAS building lies about 100 meters behind you.

Alternatively, take the regional train lines RE1, RE3 (direction: Hamm), RE6 (direction: Bielefeld) oder RE11 (direction: Paderborn) to Dortmund Hbf. From there on: see 1).

From Dortmund airport

4) Take the bus "Airport Express" to Dortmund main station. From there on: see 1).

By car

1) From the South: A45 from Frankfurt. Go northwards on the A45 until you reach the exit "Dortmund-Eichlinghofen". Turn right onto L523/Universitätsstraße in the direction of Dortmund Eichlinghofen/Dortmund-Oespel. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Meitnerweg. After another 300 meters, turn right onto Otto-Hahn-Straße – the ISAS building lies directly to your left.

2) From the West: A40 from Essen. Take the A40/B1 eastwards until you reach the exit "Dortmund-Dorstfeld". Turn left onto L609/Hauert and follow the road about 600 meters. Then turn left onto Otto-Hahn-Straße and follow the road for another 600 meters. The ISAS building lies now on your left.

3) From the East: A44 from Kassel. Take the A44/B1 westwards until you reach the exit "Dortmund-Dorstfeld". Turn right onto L609/Planetenfeldstraße and follow the road for about 800 meters. Then turn left onto Otto-Hahn-Straße and follow the road for another 600 meters. The ISAS building lies now on your left.

4) From the North: A1 from Bremen take the A1 southwards until you reach "Westhofener Kreuz". Turn off the A1 and take the A45, following signs to Dortmund. Follow the A45 until you reach the exit "Dortmund-Eichlinghofen". Turn right onto L523/Universitätsstraße in the direction of Dortmund Eichlinghofen/Dortmund-Oespel. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Meitnerweg. After another 300 meters, turn right onto Otto-Hahn-Straße – the ISAS building lies directly to your left.
